Jensen, who grew up and relocated from Wausau, WI, loved the idea of having easy accessibility to the large cities (Milwaukee/Chicago) while enjoying the small-town lifestyle. The closest city to Wausau is Green Bay, which is about an hour-and-a-half drive.
As a Project Manager in Heavy Civil Industry, Jensen and his team develop and manage projects that directly benefit the community. His responsibility is to make sure projects meet the standards and specifications set forth by the owner, engineer, and municipality.
Such responsibilities include proper documentation distribution, developing and managing the schedule, attending weekly owner meetings, and budget management. It also affords him the opportunity to use his education in construction management while experiencing the value of a hard day’s work.
Jensen praises the short commute, which allows him to spend more time on the things he’s passionate about including his wife and two-and-a-half-month old son.
Jensen recommends living or working in Racine County because there are plenty of career opportunities, great schools, and ample opportunities to enjoy personal interests.
