As Wisconsin continues to grow its technology and AI-driven economy, Gateway Technical College’s Microsoft Data Center Academy is helping prepare students and workers for in-demand careers in datacenter operations, IT, and technology infrastructure.
Recently, leaders from Gateway Technical College and Racine Unified School District (RUSD) joined Microsoft TechSpark on a visit to Southern Virginia to learn from an established Microsoft Data Center Academy ecosystem. The trip provided an opportunity to see how education, workforce, and economic development partners can work together to create strong career pathways and connect talent with emerging job opportunities.
The Data Center Academy offers hands-on training, industry-recognized credentials, internship opportunities, and direct pathways into careers that support today’s digital economy. Participants also explored how innovative technologies, including AI applications in agriculture, are creating new opportunities for students and communities.
