In 2016, Joycelyn Fish took a bold leap from Milwaukee to Racine after spotting a job ad for the Director of Marketing and Development at the Racine Theatre Guild (RTG). Originally from Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Joycelyn was searching for a more connected community and found it in Racine. At RTG, a historic theatre founded in 1938, she revitalized outreach and donor relations, becoming a central figure in the city’s cultural scene.
Feeling disconnected in Milwaukee, Joycelyn discovered the community she had been missing in Racine.
Beyond her role at RTG, Joycelyn has made significant contributions to Racine’s cultural landscape through her involvement with ArtRoot, co-founding Racine Foodies, and leading the “What’s Up Racine” initiative, which aims to enhance the city’s appeal to young professionals and creatives. Her journey highlights her commitment to enriching Racine’s community and cultural fabric.
