The vibrant community of the City of Burlington has several featured and community events for all ages. Here are a few of their most popular summer events.
- Experience Burlington Days – July 19-20, 2024 – This community-wide event is packed with things to do, including sales, food and drink, and family-friendly entertainment.
- Tall Tales Music Festival – August 11, 2024 – This free festival celebrates the cultural significance of storytelling through music.
- Aquaducks Ski Show – Free Water Ski Show every Thursday in the summer at Browns Lake Fischer Park with a different food truck each week!

- Lighthouse Run – June 15, 2024 – The 46th annual Racine Lighthouse Run is one of Wisconsin’s premier runs/walk, offering competitive and non-competitive events.
- 4th of July Parade – Racine’s 88th Annual 4th of July Parade theme will be American Treasures. The route runs for 2.6 miles along Main Street.
- First Fridays – Throughout summer, the first Friday of each month features new themed events, offering the community exciting shopping and dining experiences accompanied by live music.
- Salmon-A-Rama – July 13-21, 2024 – This event is returning to its roots, celebrating its 50th anniversary with a committed five-year agreement with 5K events. There will be food trucks, raffles, live bands, and a variety of vendors.
- Racine River Fest – August 3, 2024 – Immerse yourself in the diverse offerings along the scenic Root Riverfront, from thrilling races to delectable eats and captivating entertainment.
- Racine Zoo Calendar of Events – The Racine Zoo has several fun, family-friendly events and activities every month.
The Village of Caledonia brings its rural charm to the community with several fun-filled events this summer.
- 5th Annual Taco Fest of Racine – July 20, 2024 – The 5th Annual Taco Fest of Racine is back at the Franksville Craft Beer Garden in 2024. This event is free to attend and will feature live music all day.
- Barn Dance at the Caledonia Historical Society – July 20, 2024 – The CHS will be presenting a Dinner and Barn Dance at the Caledonia Historic Village in the Botting Shed.
- Summer Night Market – July 24, 2024 – This event features food, cocktails, live music, amazing products from local makers, and a dazzling display of the Northern Lights Drone Show.
- Franksville Beer Garden – This is Racine County’s first and only permanent Craft Beer Garden. You’ll enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere with yard games, food, craft beer, and live music.
In addition to its diverse recreational activities, the Village of Mount Pleasant hosts family-friendly summer events each year.
- Mount Pleasant Music – June 18, 2024 – At the inaugural opening night, enjoy live music and food in Campus Park at this 4-part music series presented by Mount Pleasant Tourism Commission.
- Tour of America’s Dairyland – June 19, 2024 – ToAD is the largest competitive road cycling series in the U.S. and offers high-energy cycling action featuring Pro and Amateur racers from across the nation and around the world. For 11 consecutive days, WI host cities are put on display, with races running nearly non-stop all day long.
In the vibrant and close-knit Village of Sturtevant, summer truly comes alive with exciting events that bring the community together.
- Highway 11 Public Market –The market is located in front of the Fabulous Fountain Banquet Hall parking lot, offers a variety of products including fresh produce, artisan foods, and handicrafts. It occurs every Thursday afternoon.
- July 3rd Fireworks – The fireworks show starts at dusk (about 9 p.m.). Food and beverage vendors will be available.
- 2024 Racine County Annual Charity Golf Outing – August 23, 2024 – Register solo or with a team of up to four for this annual event and enjoy 18 holes of golf with a cart, a complimentary boxed lunch, and a free drink ticket. This year, 100% of proceeds support the Women’s Resource Center.
The Village of Union Grove infuses the community with small-town charm through its beloved and vibrant annual summer events.
- Union Grove Public Market – Occurring every Sunday from June to September, this market showcases local vendors, local honey, canned specialty items, local artisans, and food trucks.
- 4th of July Parade – This year’s parade is presented by Greater Union Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Bixby-Hansen Post 171. Plans are underway to make this parade a true Small Town, USA event that is sure to please all ages!
When you’re not enjoying the numerous water activities on Tichigan Lake or the Fox River, the Village of Waterford keeps the excitement alive with its summer events.
- Waterford Balloonfest – June 29, 2024 – In partnership with the Tichigan Lake Lions Club and Waterford Union High School, this event at Waterford Town Park on Jensen Parkway celebrates flying with hot air balloons, live music, delicious food and drinks, and local vendors.
- Waterford River Rhythms – On select dates throughout the summer, enjoy free, live music at Village Hall Park.
The Village of Yorkville, known for its rural homes and farmland, comes to life every summer with outdoor and nature-focused activities.
- Modine-Benstead Observatory Open Houses – These free public night open house events are held monthly from April to October. The experience of hearing someone describe their first look at a solar system object through a telescope? Priceless!
- Racine County Fair – July 24-28, 2024 – This annual event showcases the many talents, passions, accomplishments, and agriculture of Racine County youth and community members, while providing a memorable fair experience.
